Who We Are

Meet The Chef Owners

Chef Harris

Chef Harris

Owner

Pearl has been comfortably tucked away on the northern end of the Monadnock Community Plaza in Peterborough, NH for more than 8 years now. In April 2010, the young chef Harris Welden, a Greenfield, NH native, took the reigns and brought his unique style of cooking to this community establishment.

Chef Harris is a graduate of Loyola University and the Culinary Institute of America where he developed a passion for Italian and French cooking.

After graduation, Harris took his skills to President Obama’s favorite Chicago restaurant, Spiaggia, where he spent three years mastering the art of combining ingredients to produce bold, innovative flavors.

Now, Harris and his young family have returned home and have brought a passion for food with them.

We believe that Pearl is not just a restaurant. It is a way that we can support our community and provide a way for people to get together.

To that end, we pride ourselves on using locally grown produce, supporting community events and working
with other local retailers. And, we just love great food.

Nick Duval

Nick Duval

Chef/Owner

Nick started as a Dishwasher at Pearl in 2007.  His fox like wit and possum like tenacity helped him quickly rise through the ranks from Dishwasher to Cook to Sous Chef to Chef De Cuisine and finally Chef/Partner.

Chef Duval loves to explore, eat and work with his hands.  All key elements to being an excellent Chef.  Cooking is not a job for him, it is his passion which is why he is constantly striving to put out the perfect plate.

Nick is a local living in this Monadnock Region all his life.
